🧠✨ Learning in Action at MJHS! Ms. Ferguson's students took their learning to the next level by creating visual models of a neuron pathway. After building their visuals, students explained the pathway to both a teacher and a fellow student to demonstrate their understanding. This activity gave students the chance to teach, explain, and apply what they’ve learned, strengthening their knowledge of how messages travel through the nervous system. 🚭📚 Learning About the Dangers of Vaping Our 8th grade health classes had the opportunity to hear from Brittany Braden, Tobacco Prevention Specialist with CSI, as she shared an informative presentation about the dangers of vaping nicotine. Students learned about the health risks, the impact nicotine can have on the developing brain, & why making informed choices is so important. We appreciate Brittany taking the time to educate & empower our students with knowledge that helps them make healthy decisions. #loveservecare #studentwellness

MJHS Betas Shine at School Board Meeting! 🌟 The MJHS Beta Club was proudly recognized at the March School Board meeting for their outstanding achievement at the State Beta Convention! Our Betas earned multiple 1st place awards, representing our school with excellence, leadership, & hard work. These students continue to set the standard through their dedication to academics, service, & teamwork. We are incredibly proud of the way they represent MJHS & our community. South Conway County School District was honored to recently host the Class 4A State Basketball Tournament at Devil Dog Arena. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every worker and volunteer who gave their time and energy to make this tournament an outstanding experience for teams, fans, and families from across Arkansas.

Because of you, visitors experienced the excellence, kindness, and hospitality that define our school district and our community. Throughout the tournament, we received many compliments on Devil Dog Arena and the cleanliness, hospitality, and organization of the event, which reflects the pride our people take in serving others well.

Since 2018, Devil Dog Arena has hosted five state tournaments, including:
• Two 1A State Basketball Tournaments in partnership with the Wonderview School District
• Two 4A State Basketball Tournaments
• One 4A State Volleyball Tournament

In addition, Devil Dog Arena has hosted three regional tournaments:
• Two 4A Regional Basketball Tournaments
• One Regional Volleyball Tournament

And the excitement will continue as Devil Dog Arena is scheduled to host the 4A State Volleyball Tournament in the Fall of 2026.

Devil Dog Arena is truly one of the premier venues in Arkansas for hosting events like these. But what makes it special is not just the facility — it is the people who step forward to serve, welcome, and support others.

From writing their own scripts to choosing the songs for their program, students are in charge of bringing their ideas to life. Using their Chromebooks, they record their finished shows & experience what it’s like to produce a real radio broadcast. It’s a fun & creative way to build communication, writing, & technology skills! 🧫🔬 Medical Detectives in Action! 🔬🧫 Our Medical Detectives classes are stepping into the role of scientists as they conduct experiments to better understand bacteria and antibiotics. Students planted bacteria cultures and introduced different antibiotics to observe which ones were most effective in stopping bacterial growth. Through hands-on investigation, they’re learning how doctors determine the right treatments and why choosing the correct antibiotic matters. Science is coming to life right before their eyes! 🧪✨ #loveservecare #HandsOnLearning
