Merit Pay

The South Conway County School District is proud to announce that 21 educators have been recognized through the Arkansas Merit Teacher Incentive Fund Program, earning a combined $75,000 in merit pay from the State of Arkansas.

The Merit Teacher Incentive Fund, established through the Arkansas LEARNS Act, recognizes outstanding educators who demonstrate exceptional student growth, serve in critical shortage areas, earn advanced professional designations, or mentor future educators. The program rewards excellence in teaching while supporting educator retention across the state.

The South Conway County School District's 2025-2026 Merit Pay recipients are:

"These educators exemplify the dedication, professionalism, commitment to excellence, and belief in their students that define our district," said Superintendent Shawn Halbrook. "Their work changes lives every day by helping students learn, grow, and reach their full potential. We are incredibly proud of each of these educators and grateful that the State of Arkansas recognizes their outstanding contributions."

The Arkansas Merit Teacher Incentive Fund provides annual performance-based bonuses of up to $10,000 for qualifying educators. Awards are based on multiple measures, including student academic growth, teaching in critical shortage areas, advanced educator credentials, and mentoring aspiring teachers.
