District Crest

The South Conway County School District (SCCSD) has earned a district letter grade of “B.” SCCSD’s overall accountability score is 486.39, outperforming the state median of 451.39. Statewide, SCCSD is one of 98 districts out of 254 to receive a “B” rating.

In accordance with A.C.A. § 6-15-2105, Arkansas implements an A–F grading scale for schools. Beginning with the 2023–2024 school year, the state’s accountability system is aligned to Achievement, Growth, and Readiness—priorities designed to ensure every Arkansas student is prepared for what comes next.

Superintendent Shawn Halbrook stated, “This ‘B’ affirms the faithful work of our students, teachers, leaders, and families. It reflects strong instruction, a culture of continuous improvement, and our commitment to love, serve, and care for people. We’re proud of the progress and determined to keep raising the bar for every scholar.”

Board President John Gibson added, “The Board congratulates our educators and students on this district-wide performance. We will continue investing in evidence-based practices, targeted supports, and clear goals so more students achieve college, career, and life readiness.”

SCCSD will continue to advance instructional quality by strengthening Tier 1 instruction and formative assessment, expanding targeted interventions and enrichment, and enhancing readiness pathways aligned with postsecondary and workforce opportunities.
